QUICK ROUTES

From the SOUTH
NYS Thruway exit 18
Rt. 299 West to Rt. 32 N (This is a stoplight at the bottom of a hill 
with a Mobil station and Neko Sushi on the right.)
Right onto Rt. 32 N for approximately 8 miles to Rt. 213 WEST. (You 
will pass a Rt. 213 East but don't take it.)  213 West is a traffic 
light and a left turn.  Make a left.
Follow Rt. 213 West going through Rosendale for approximately 3 miles 
into High Falls.  You will see Green Cottage, bluecashew (you can 
turn into Park and Walk area on left at bluecashew), Egg's Nest, and 
Mohonk Road. Park and Walk at this end of town, or continue 200 yards 
to Depuy Canal House and park and walk from that lot.


From the NORTH
Exit 19 NYS Thruway (Kingston)
Turn right after booths
Take Second exit: 209 South to Ellenville
Follow this to the second traffic light (Route 213 East - Rosendale) 
Jack and Luna's café is on your right. They have maps of town.
Turn left onto 213 East. Follow this into High Falls center, about 2 
miles. Stop at any sites along the way for a map or more information.

From the time you leave the thruway to the second traffic light is 
12 miles or about 20 minutes. Another 5 minutes to the Gallery.

SCENIC ROUTE

From the SOUTH
Exit 18 NYS thruway
Turn left at traffic light after toll (West) on Rt. 299
Take this all the way through town of New Paltz to bridge crossing 
Walkill River and take FIRST RIGHT AFTER BRIDGE (Springtown Road)
BEAR LEFT AT FORK onto Mountain Rest Road.
Go to STOP sign continue straight up mountain.
Follow this road for approx. 5 miles — up the mountain, past the 
entrance to Mohonk Mountain House, and down the mountain to sign that 
marks HIGH FALLS 3 miles (straight). The same road is now called 
MOHONK ROAD. Stay on this road for 2 miles and begin to look for 
street signs on your right. First will be School Hill, across from a 
big red barn. Next will be Steep Hill. Next, you will see the D & H 
Canal Museum on your right, then be Gallery (you can stop and get a 
map of town) and then the intersection of Rt. 213 and a stop sign.  
Turn right and Park and Walk on your right behind bluecashew, or turn 
left and follow 213 to Depuy Canal House on left, turn left and Park 
and Walk from that site.
